I suppose it is time for an update, although I can't guarantee how good it will be because I'm not feeling too inspired at the moment.
So, vacation went fine. I actually had fun (!!!) which was entirely unexpected. That place is like an entirely different world than Dallas. The air was breathable, the sky was visible, people were actually polite on the highways. It was weird. I took Dave to all of the Ohio "hotspots" like the Medina County Fair (Dayton asses and cowgirl camo-sluts), Lake Erie, and Cedar Point. We went to Chi-Chi's and laughed at their sad attempts at authentic Mexican food. We visited family, ate lots of potato salad, got sunburnt, and relaxed a lot. It was a nice time, and I was glad to get away with Dave and see some different scenery. I'm sort of glad to be back, although when I stepped off the plane amid a sky full of smog and temperatures in the high 90's, I didn't feel that excitement upon being home. I just felt the instinctual longing to move somewhere cleaner, prettier, less hot. Oh well, Dallas will have to do for awhile, until I've got all the school stuff wrapped up and all. In the meantime, I'll try not to complain too much.
