time, how it flies.

Last night sure was odd, but it definately beat New Years two years ago when I ended up at home, drinking sparkling grape juice, playing poker with my grandparents. Here's a summary of New Years 2002:

Started off the night at Marcos' house, expecting it to be a small get-together. Snacked on these really good orange creme cookies (I swear, it's always about the food with me. Don't be surprised if one day I suddenly balloon to like 300 pounds.). Anyways, lots of people showed up and I started feeling really anti-social and spent the night avoiding the crowd somewhat by hiding in the back room. Eventually Dave and I said our goodbyes and headed over to Jen, Heather, and Nadawi's where we were greeted by several pantless men. Things were a bit more wild at this party. Andrew was DJing in his underwear, playing the most hilariously somber electronic music. Jesse stole my scarf and used it to cover his exposed parts (my poor scarf felt very violated). Unbeknownst to me, I sat the couch where beer had previously been spilled, discovering this only when I got up to use the bathroom and the back of my jeans were completely soaked. Spent the rest of the night in Dave's lap where the couch was considerably more dry. Eventually we got tired and our lungs started hating us because of all of the smoke, so we went home. And that was New Years 2002. Not terribly exciting, but it sure beats playing poker for pennies with the grandparents.
